For our youngest dancers starting at 2 years old, we offer fun yet structured classes using stories, props, mime and a sprinkle of magic, introducing them to the wonderful world of ballet. Parents are required to stay for this class.
Using imagery, stories, props and mime to further excite our youngest dancers immersing them in the magical world of ballet. Parents are asked to stay outside for this class as the children get to gain independence (very grown up!)
At pre-primary the children continue to learn basic ballet technique whilst still capturing their imagination using rhymes and music to help develop their love of dance. They start to learn stories from the classic ballets using mime to inspire there imagination.
From this level children follow both the prestigious Royal Academy of Dance and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (also known as the ISTD) Sylabus, where they can be invited to take part in examinations.
As the children progress through the grades they continue to improve there technique, stength and flexability, learn ballet vocabulary and enhance performance.
